What you'll be doing
Emma leads a relaxed, hands-on session inspired by flowers, leaves and the natural world. Over two hours she'll take you through working with clay and building up botanical textures and floral detail — pressing, shaping, marking, and seeing what the material does.
It's guided but not rigid. You'll have her attention throughout, and there's room to experiment rather than follow a set of steps to a fixed outcome.
No experience needed
None at all. The session is built for complete beginners, and Emma gives individual support throughout.
Places are capped at ten deliberately, so it stays friendly and unhurried rather than a room of people waiting for help.

Wear something comfortable that you don't mind getting slightly messy. Please arrive about ten minutes before one so we can start on time.
Who Emma is
Emma is the maker behind Silver Spot Ceramics, working out of her own small home studio and known for brightly coloured, characterful pieces — mugs, wax burners, decorations, and the "little muggies" her customers keep coming back for.
She came to clay the long way round. By her own account she's a crafter through and through — knitting, crochet, sewing, quilting, embroidery, polymer clay, 3D printing — and it was turning thirty that made her stop giving her time to things that left no room for making, and build a life around it instead. That's a useful person to spend an afternoon with, whatever your reason for booking.
She's built a following of around 60,000 on Instagram, ships worldwide, takes custom orders and mentors other small makers.
