Brunch in the garden: help us keep Emergence growing
Join us this Sunday for our Fundraiser & Crowdfunder Brunch

This Sunday, 11 October, we're swapping Kendrick Street for the Walled Garden at Museum in the Park, and we'd love you to join us.
From 11am to 2pm, we're hosting a Fundraiser & Crowdfunder Brunch to launch the second round of our crowdfunder. There'll be brunch from Leola, drinks from Holy Water, music from DJ Jelly on a Plate, and live demonstrations from some of the makers who run workshops with us. It's relaxed, family-friendly and open to everyone.
Why we're fundraising again
When we launched our first crowdfunder, so many of you backed us, and together we opened the doors of Emergence Commons. Since then, the space has filled up with people mending, making, swapping, learning and meeting. Our weekly Sewing Bee has found its regulars, workshops have brought new makers into the space, and students from Stroud High now join us every Wednesday for creative enrichment sessions.
This second round is about making sure all of that can continue. The money will help us:
keep the space open and running
support the staffing that makes the programme possible
create new opportunities for local makers, young people and the community

What to expect on Sunday
Come hungry, bring your family and say hello. You'll be able to see demonstrations, chat with the people behind Emergence, find out how the crowdfunder works and, if you'd like to, pledge on the day. Even if you can't give, coming along and sharing the event with friends makes a real difference.
